August 18 - 20:
Spend 3 full days in the Dahlias and the Portland Rose Garden with Jackie & Padma Inguva. Wander through row upon row of colorful blooms at the Swan Island Dahlia Farm where you will put into practice a variety of shooting techniques interspersed with post-processing demos. Learn to see beyond the moment.... Develop a flow consisting of selecting a subject, choosing an optic to deliver a desired look and feel, shooting in a manner that speaks to your creativity. The best of Oregon from the idyllic seaside town of Bandon to the masses of Dahlias in every color under the sun!

August 21: Travel day to Bandon

August 22 - 25:
Shoot on the coast with a focus on the seascape, large and small. Here you will put into practice techniques, such as multiples and long exposure, on subjects that shine in the prevailing conditions, from the legendary giants rising from the gentle waves in the setting sun or barely making themselves known in the misty fog, to starfish and sand patterns at low tide. This trip is timed with the famous Circles in the Sand, which is scheduled for Aug 24 & 25th (weather permitting).
After the workshop we will go over editing techniques with everyone from both segments online in a virtual setting. You will have access to the videos for a full year afterwards. We will also give you some time to edit your photos and then follow up with image reviews.

[Transportation to Bandon is on your own. Rental car is recommended as it is a 5 hour drive from PDX. Plan to arrive with sufficient time to allow for a 4pm start on August 28th.]
