Photograph Spring in the Netherlands

Join Our 2026 Workshop!

Andrea and I are thrilled to share this unique and inspiring photography workshop in the Netherlands from April 13 – 18, 2026, with a welcome dinner on April 12th, and we’d love to have you join us!

This fower-filled journey will take place during peak tulip season in the Netherlands and is designed for photographers who want to capture not only iconic scenes, but also hidden beauty, vibrant color, and artistic abstraction.

What to Expect:

- Multiple days at the Keukenhof Gardens, not only to capture the world-famous tulip displays, but also to explore Andrea’s personal favorite areas, where wild bulb flowers bloom in soft light and shade.

- A day trip to Kinderdijk, home to the Netherlands’ iconic windmills – perfect for atmospheric landscapes and storytelling images.

- A visit to the bustling flower auction, offering endless inspiration in movement, color, and orchestration.

- Opportunities to photograph the vibrant tulip fields, with their graphic patterns and bold colors.

- A photo review and editing session in a private conference room – a chance to reflect on your work, get feedback, and learn from each other.

- And to top it off, our week concludes with a magical canal tour through Amsterdam, including dinner on board – the perfect finale to our creative journey.

We’ll begin with a welcome dinner on April 12 at the Hyatt Hotel, located very close to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport – easy to reach for all international arrivals. This relaxed evening will be a chance to meet each other, go over the plan, and get excited for the days ahead.

We can’t wait to share this colorful, creative adventure with you!

Warmly,

Jackie & Andrea

Suggested Gear & Other Info...

Camera:  Participants are expected to know how to operate their equipment. If you have any new gear, it is important to become acquainted with it BEFOREHAND to get the most from the workshop.

Lenses:  Macro lenses (90 - 100mm equivalent) and a wide angle zoom (24 - 70mm) (or iphone) for landscape or wider scenic images. A telephoto zoom (100 - 500mm equivalent) will allow you to photograph the flowers from a distance or at a fairly close range. This reach is ideal for shoot-throughs.

Tripods/Monopods: A sturdy tripod will be helpful if you need assistance holding your camera for a long period of time.

Software: Jackie & Andrea will share post-processing techniques with you and will offer feedback on your images throughout the workshop. Editing demos will range from basic image adjustments to more advanced Photoshop techniques with emphasis on removing distractions and cleaning up images. We will focus on obtaining a variety of compositions to make the most of the garden.

Pre & Post-workshop Zooms: An overview and orientation will be held online prior to the workshop. Post-workshop Zoom will consist of image reviews of fully edited images, although feedback will be shared in the field and in a review session during the workshop.
